Shepherd Rotary Club to Honor Newell Oren

The following information is from a recent issue of the Morning Sun. Congratulations to Newell for this wonderful achievement!

Newell Oren has dedicated much of his life to the village of Shepherd and now that community is returning their gratitude. Born in Shepherd, Oren, 79, is being recognized as the Shepherd Rotary Club's Outstanding Citizen of the Year. Oren has been active in the Rotary Club, Shepherd Sugar Bush and Maple Syrup Festival, Shepherd Historical Society, Shepherd United Methodist Church, and with the Shepherd Sesquicentennial celebrations. He is being honored at a 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 dinner at the Shepherd Bar and Restaurant's Maple Room.
